Description
ViCare is the main digital touch point customers have with their Viessmann heating and energy systems.
Within a large team of developers, I co-led the design of the app. As result the app ratings improved from 2.7 to 4.6. Different use-cases were identified and executed.
On of the main challenges during the design was the identification of relevant use-cases. Different value propositions have been developed that highlight different perspectives on what the app could do. Moreover, the app needs to be compatible with a large set of devices meaning a scalable design system had to be implemented as well.
The app also connects with smart home hardware such as thermostats and sensors. My role was to design the setup and user flows. Also the design of "hidden ux" such as battery management and error handling.
A lot of user research was performed to design this experience. Many prototypes have been developed and many, many design iterations.
